Senior Isabella Roman-Secor was recently recognized for her academic achievements when she was awarded the FDOE's Commissioner's Award by Florida Department of Education Commissioner Pam Stewart. Isabella was recognized for overcoming adversity while maintaining academic excellence. She currently holds over a 4.3 GPA and is on track to graduate this year in the top 10% of her class, along with her Associates of Arts in General Studies. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Renaissance and Leadership. Along with her academic excellence, she has earned over 200 hours of community service, a member of the Bulldog swim team, and Huddle Captain for DeLand High’s chapter of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She was also named October’s Female Athlete of the Month.
