This past summer we had two students, Elisabeth Ewald and Regan Parrish, represent DeLand High School and the state of Florida at the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders in Boston, Massachusetts. Elisabeth and Regan were surrounded by many fellow high school students who share her their passion, ability and potential. Not only did they network with likeminded peers, but they were personally taught by some of the greatest living minds in medicine including: Nobel Prize winners in Physics, inventors and CEOs of companies like Boston Dynamics and Gravity Industries Limited. Both students recently received their official Award of Excellence, certifying their successful completion of this year’s Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders program.
Both Elisabeth and Regan are outstanding students at DHS and involved in a variety of extracurricular activities. Elisabeth is a Senior in Theater and Chorus and will be graduating this year with honors. Regan is a Sophomore in the International Baccalaureate program in the top 5 percent of her class and plays First Base for the Lady Bulldog Softball team.
We are very proud of these students and know they will continue to make us proud.
