The Daytona Beach News-Journal just announced the Medallion of Excellence recipients for the Class of 2020. Three DeLand High Seniors were named among the 30 recipients in the Volusia-Flagler area. Dominic Addonizio, Cayman Forbes, & Alexa Tracey were this year’s recipients from DHS. All three hold outstanding GPA’s and are ranked in the top ten percent of their graduating class.

Dominic currently holds a 4.44 GPA while taking advanced placement & honor courses. He is actively involved in band and chorus and has been selected for All-County performances.

Cayman is in DHS’ International Baccalaureate program and holds a 4.65 GPA. She is a 4-year member of the Avant Garde Dance team and this year’s captain. She has also been selected for All-County dance performances. Cayman is also her Senior Class President.

Alexa currently holds a 4.46 GPA while taking dual enrollment classes at Daytona State and Advanced Placement courses on campus. She is an active member and performs countless community service hours with our Leadership class at DeLand High and serves as President of the SGA Executive Board.

We are very proud of these Bulldogs for being recognized for not only their academic achievements, but also their extracurricular and community service activities.

They will be recognized at this year’s banquet on Wednesday, April 8th at the Daytona 500 Club.
