Renaissance recognizes, rewards and encourages students and staff for their hard work and efforts related to academics. Open to all grades with a minimum 2.7 GPA

   Renaissance is a national program sponsored by Jostens to promote academics in schools across North America. There is an annual Renaissance convention for schools across the continent to share ideas for successful programs.
   Renaissance at DeLand High School is a program run by students that promotes academic excellence and efforts in both students and staff. Renaissance rewards students and staff through different activities, including:
 
  • Renaissance Teacher of the Month Renaissance Most Improved Student of the Month Renaissance No Tardy Cookies Renaissance Annual Academic Pep Rally in the spring, for students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher or who have raised their GPA by .5 or higher for the fall semester.
  • Teacher Appreciation Week
