Student Government Association consists of elected SGA Officers,
Class Officers and 10 representatives from each grade. Student
Government organizes such events as Homecoming, Miss DHS and other
school and community projects and service events throughout the
year.
DeLand's
Student Government is one of the most active organizations in the
school. Here is a quite extensive list of our recent activities:
- Served as hosts
and hostesses for Open House; served refreshments and helped
direct parents to rooms and answer questions.
- Organizes
Homecoming events such as Homecoming Dance, Student Growl,
Alumni Tea, Alumni Growl, Spirit Week, and Halftime show.
- Chose the Parade
Marshal and Superfans for the Homecoming Parade.
- Organizes
Thanksgiving Food Drive and Christmas Toy Drive.
- Puts on Miss DHS
Show.
- Annually has an
orientation to welcome each incoming Freshmen class.
