CHO
Cooperative Health Occupations

Congratulations to Beverly Buck and her CHO students for their successful blood drive earlier this year. One hundred and four pints of blood were collected to be used to save lives. As with many things in our world, there is more to the program than what "meets the eye".

DeLand  High School provides more units of blood than any other high school in Volusia County. The staff and volunteers of the Red Cross have relayed to Mrs. Buck upon each visit how much they enjoy doing the drive at our school. They find the students to be cooperative and polite. For many visitors, this is the first positive experience that they have had with teenagers. Once again, DeLand High School is involved in a very powerful community awareness program.
