Exciting Upcoming Events
  • Do the Zoo!-The Central Florida Zoo butterfly garden was devastated by the hurricanes. We will be refurbishing it in April and May. We will be holding a fundraiser, "Tea in the Garden", when the work is complete. We will sell tickets to a designated day for a reduced rate. This will cover Zoo admission and a party in the butterfly garden. Look for more details!
  • Candy Sale!-We will be selling an assortment of yummy treats beginning March 15th through April 4th. The candy will sell for $1.00 each and includes a dollor off Subway coupon on each wrapper. Please support your High Achievers Club!
  • Going to Pot-The High Achievers will be selling their annual dish gardens very soon. They will make Mother's Day gifts and are priced at $6.00 each. $4.00 will be donated to Easter Seals' Camp Challenge and the remaining $2.00 will go to our club account. The Camp Challenge Annual Hog Roast and Plant Sale will be Saturday, April 30th at Camp Challenge on S.R 46 off I-4. Please plan to attend. It is free and all proceeds go to the camp one of the High Achievers chosen philanthropy.
  • Prom-April 30th is approaching quickly. This year our tickets will be$25.00 per person. The students that will attend will have their hair styled, makeup, and flowers to be provided by a our generous support network at no cost. We will be going to Whistle Junction for our pre-prom dinner. The Wal-Mart Studio will take the prom photographs. Transportation will be provided. It will be an all day affair for the girls, getting hair and makeup done. The students will be returned to their homes by 3 AM.

Request for Help

At Christmas the High Acheivers Club provided food and gift baskets for four of our own teen parents at DeLand High School. We would like to do this again for Easter.

We Need Donations: non-perishable food items, baby clothes in 24 months to 2T size, blankets, toys, puzzles, books, self-care items (shampoo, soap, etc.)

Please give your donations to Mrs. Pertler , Mrs Mitchell, or your High Achievers Club Member. THANKS!

  1. Michael Mitchell will be graduating may 22nd at noon in Daytona Beach.
  2. Kayle Woods has applied to go to the Youth Leadership Federation in Tallahassee in July.
  3. Kendall Rockmore and Kayle Woods created essays for the school's Red Ribbon Week contest an won. The essays will be published in the spring issue of "Teen Talk" for Volusia County.
