The Career Center offers career and guidance services to all DeLand High School students. The Center offers scholarship applications and computer work stations for students to search and apply various online programs. A Career resource library is available to students, teachers, and parents.
The Center Connection Specialist provides career classes and relate activities for students. These activities help students explore and research their career field of choice. Some of the experiences available through the Career Center are:
- Information on career and college planning
- Career classes and visits to the computerized Career Connections Coach
- Interest Inventories
- Florida View Online Choices and
FACTS.org
- Guest Speakers and Field Trips
- Job shadowing for Junior and Senior students
- Armed Forces information and ASVAB testing
- Youth Partnership program and training for community service programs
- Business Partnerships and Community Involvement
