Health Topic Presentation

Due 28 March 2017

 

1.  Summative Grade assignment.

2.  Pick a partner in your flight to complete and present project together.  Each cadet must give 100% effort to the project.

3.  Sign-up for one of the topics posted (see below link or in classroom).  Put your names next to number that corresponds with the topic you select.  NO REPEAT OF NUMBER WITHIN SAME FLIGHT!

(If you have a different health topic you’d like to cover, speak with an instructor for approval).

4.  Prepare a Power Point, Poster Board, or Prezi presentation.

5.  Include the following:

- Title Slide with names of presenters (5 pts.)

- Must be a 5-7 minute presentation (50 pts.)

- Have a minimum 5 main points on topic (20 pts.)

- Have a minimum of 3 sub-points (15 pts.)

- Ask a minimum of 2 questions to audience (10 pts.)

Lieutenant Colonel William J. Conley is the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor, Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC), DeLand High School, DeLand Florida.

Lieutenant Colonel Conley entered the Air Force as an Airman in 1988, and after a two-year enlistment, separated in pursuit of a commission. He re-entered the Air Force as a distinguished graduate of the East Carolina University Reserve Officer Training Corps program in 1992, earning his Regular commission. He served in an array of assignments in the personnel community from base, Air Staff, and Air Force Personnel Center-levels. He also served as a group executive officer, Air Force Intern, deployed squadron commander, mission support squadron commander and is a distinguished graduate, Squadron Officers School and graduate of Air Command and Staff College in-residence and Air War College by correspondence. Considered a life-long learner, his education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Administration from St. Leo College, a Master of Science degree in Organizational Management from the University of Laverne, a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from George Washington University, and a Master of Science degree in Military Operational Arts and Sciences from Air University. He is currently enrolled with NOVA Southeastern University, where he is pursuing his Education Specialist degree in Education Leadership. His is married to his beautiful bride, Genevieve Macalalag, and together they have four incredible children—Kayla, Layne, Alexa, and Liam.

 

Master Sergeant Fortino R. Garcia Jr.

Master Sergeant Fortino R. Garcia Jr. is the Aerospace Science Instructor, Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC), DeLand High School, Unit FL-023, DeLand Florida.

Master Sergeant Garcia entered the Air Force as an Airman in 1985. He was a Personnel Specialist for three years. He retrained into the medical field as Medical Technician for 16 years. He then retrained to a Command Post Specialist for the last year of his career. He was assigned to a variety of bases and leadership positions throughout his 20 years in the Air Force. Sergeant Garcia was a distinguished graduate from Airman Leadership School, completed Non-Commissioned Leadership School, and the Senior Non-Commissioned correspondence course. Sergeant Garcia has been an AFJROTC Instructor for nine years. His education includes a Bachelors of Liberal Studies from University of Tampa, Associates degrees in Allied Health Services and Human Resource Development from the Community College of the Air Force.  He is blessed to be married to the love of his life Jacki Garcia, and together they have three fantastic children—Ashley, Fortino III, and Kelli, also a wonderful grandson—Brody.
