Congratulation to Baseball for their 4-3 win over Olympia Friday night. The Bulldogs hit the field again tomorrow afternoon against FPC in Bulldog on Bulldog match up.

Geometry students should refer to school’s website to find out important testing information. The Geometry EOC will begin April 24th.

Calling all Ninth and Tenth Graders! The DeLand High Testing Challenge winning class will be able to attend The Great Ice Cream Bash on Friday May 12 at 1:15 PM. Students will be able to choose from a variety of ice cream flavors and toppings. There will music, prizes, and a whole lot more. Be sure you are tested!

Advanced Placement exams begin May 1 at 7:30 AM. Students taking an AP exam should bring two number two pencils and two black or blue pens. Students must be on time for their exams.

Mr. Scott is seeking teachers, administrators, and other staff members to assist with The Great Ice Cream Bash on Friday May 12 from 1:15 – 2:45 PM. Send Mr. Scott and email if you are interested.

SAC Membership Applications for the 2017-2018 school year are now available for teachers, students, staff members, and parents. Applications can be picked up at the front desk of the Main Office. If you want to be a part of the decision-making process for student and school improvement, then School Advisory Council is for you.

Introducing the FSA and Pearson EOC Teachers’ Challenge. Teachers of Florida Standards and Pearson EOC testing courses will compete to ensure their EOC course tests the highest percent of students. This includes Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Biology, and U.S. History. Teachers of the FSA and Pearson course that tests the highest percent of students will be treated to a Lasagna Dinner cooked by none other than Master Chief Scott. Dinner items will include lasagna, salad, garlic bread, and Italian sausages. The Lasagna Dinner will be held on May 25th during both lunches. Who will be served?

Southern Technical College will be in front of guidance during lunches on Friday May 5th.

Bethune-Cookman University is now accepting applications for the dual enrollment program! If you are in grades 9-12 and meet the entry requirements, you have the opportunity to earn credits toward a college degree at NO COST to you! Classes are being offered on the main campus in Daytona Beach and on the BCU Deltona campus located on Saxon Blvd. Applications will be accepted through August 9th for the Fall 2017 semester. Interested students must have a 3.0 unweighted G.P.A. and qualifying test scores. Contact your school counselor to schedule the PERT test. Don’t delay…Classes begin August 14, 2017.

Attention all students needing Community Service Hours for Bright Futures or any other scholarships. Service hour trainings will be held the 3rd Thursday of each month and it is mandatory for students to attend a training session before beginning your service hours. For more information on Community Service Hours and the training sessions see Ms. Ladas in the Guidance office. The next meeting is Thursday, May 18th, in the Media Center from 3-3:30pm.
