Grad Bash

Friday, April 5th, 2018 from 5:30pm-3:30am. Ticket price will include entry to both parks at Universal Studios and charter bus ride.  Tickets will be on sale from January 7th through February 15th. Price to be determined. Ticket price will include entry to Universal and charter bus ride.  Permission slips will be available in the activities office and must have a parent signature before tickets are purchased. You must have a school ID and at the time of purchase and no outstanding obligations.

Senior Prom

Saturday, April 27, 2018 at Daytona Hilton Oceanside/Daytona from 8 pm to midnight. Tickets will be $55 and go on sale starting Monday, April 1st through Thursday, April 25th. You must have a school ID to purchase your ticket and enter prom, no outstanding obligations, and outside guests must be preapproved.

Senior Celebration

Date & Time to be determined. Join us for breakfast and a celebration of your time at DeLand High. Your cap & gowns will be available to pick up, you will be able to purchase yearbooks, enjoy your classmates at your last official event at DeLand High and be celebrated by your schoolmates as they send you off towards your next step in life as you kick off DHS’ newest tradition: “Senior Walk”

Senior Final Exams

Baccalaureate

Date, Time & Location to be determined. Sponsored by the DeLand Youth Ministerial Association. Baccalaureate is for ALL graduating seniors and their families. Attendance/participation is voluntary. You must wear your Cap & Gown and the type of clothes you will at graduation. (No shorts, jeans, etc.)

Graduation Rehearsal

Date & Time to be determined: at the Ocean Center/Daytona Beach. ALL SENIORS planning to walk at graduation must attend this practice. No excuses. Be prompt! You may wear casual clothes. Be sure to fill out and turn in any information that is requested of you at this practice. Parents are not encouraged to attend.

Graduation Tickets

Graduation tickets will go on sale Wednesday, May 1st. The price to be determined. Any tickets we do not sell on campus will be available for purchase at the ticket office of the Ocean Center on the day of graduation. We will also be selling parking passes for the Ocean Walk Parking Garage at this time for $5. Tickets and Parking Passes are non-refundable.

*ADA rules state that each handicapped guest is allowed 3 guests with them during the ceremony in the handicap seating area.

Graduation

Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 7:30pm at the Ocean Center, Daytona Beach. Graduates must be at the Ocean Center by 6:45pm. If you arrive late, you may not be able to walk. Graduates MUST have on your Cap & Gown. Diplomas will be available for pick-up at the Ocean Center IF ALL OBLIGATIONS ARE PAID BEFORE GRADUATION DAY.

Girls Wear: A dress (any color as long as it cannot be seen through your gown) appropriate for graduation (dress cannot be longer than your gown and must not have spaghetti straps, halter style or cannot be strapless-even if you wear a sweater or jacket over the dress), skin colored hose and black pumps (must be dress shoes with heels or flat, no slide on shoes or flip flops, must have a back or strap) and a minimal jewelry.

Boys wear: Dark colored dress pants (no jeans), dark dress shoes (non-athletic), dark socks, white dress shirt and dark tie.

Audience expectations: DeLand High School’s graduation is a ceremony which honors the accomplishments of the “Class of 2018” and is not a celebration. In keeping with the significance of the ceremony, noisemakers are not allowed in the audience. All members of the audience are asked to remain seated during the graduation ceremony. Gifts and flowers will be removed if placed on graduates’ chairs before the ceremony. 

Ocean Center Bag Policy:

  • Each ticket holder, including children, may carry an approved clear bag and a clutch purse:
    • One clear bag no larger than 12”x6”x12” or a one-gallon clear Ziploc, or similar, bag
    • One small clutch bag or purse no larger than 6.5”x6.5”, with or without a strap
  • Diapers and wipes may be carried in a clear bag; however, diaper bags are not permitted.
  • Additional clothing, blankets, etc. are permitted if carried loosely (preferably over the shoulder to be screened more quickly) or in an approved clear bag.
  • Small cameras, binoculars and cell phones may be carried loosely or in an approved clear bag
