INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR THE 2008-2009 DELAND HIGH SCHOOL BOWLING TEAM?


**TRYOUTS WILL BEGIN ON MONDAY
AUGUST 18TH, 2008**
The first day of school!
3:00 P.M. at Sunshine Lanes, DeLand.

We will keep 7 boys and 7 girls. Practice is held Monday through Thursday 3:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M.
Matches begin the week of September 1st, there are two matches each week held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The District Tournament is to be held on November 3rd or 4th.
The State Tournament is scheduled for November11th and 12th.


BEFORE YOU CAN DO ANYTHING WITH THE BOWLING TEAM YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING DONE:

1) Get a physical form and parent consent form from athletics.
2) Have a physical completed and signed by your doctor.
3) Have your parents sign the parent consent form.
4) Turn the following in to Coach Mitchell (Portable 4): your physical form, consent form, and a copy of your birth certificate.

*Please also make sure that you are academically eligible to participate! You must have above a 2.0 GPA (cumulative) and you cannot have failed any core courses! Check with guidance or athletics if you have questions.
