Emergency Medical Responder

In the Emergency Medical Responder program students learn about the human body, both structurally and functionally, with emphasis on the pathophysiology and transmission of disease; gain in depth knowledge of the health care system and associated occupations; and learn how to identify and practice within the appropriate EMR scope of work and demonstrate correct medical procedures and instruments for various emergency situations. Work-Based learning opportunities (job shadowing and internships) with AdventHealth are integrated into the program.
